Like a Lily among the Thorns

The Sages note the virtues of the Israelites for which they merited to be redeemed from Egypt.

Due to four matters the Israelites were redeemed from Egypt: they did not change their names, they did not change their language, they did not slander one another, and no one among them acted licentiously by engaging in forbidden sexual intercourse. (Vayikra Rabba 32)
