God has already prepared for man whatever he needs, but this is not always apparent. God must open up a person’s eyes so he can see that this is indeed the case.

”Everyone is considered blind until the Holy One, blessed be He, opens up their eyes” (Bereshit Rabba 53:14). My teacher and grandfather (Rabbi Yitzĥak Meir of Gur), of blessed memory, explained as follows: Every need of every creature is prepared for him at all times and in all places, yet it is hidden from one’s physical eyes. When the Holy One, blessed be He, opens up his eyes, a person sees that everything [he needs] is before him. (Rabbi Yehuda Leib Alter, Sefat Emet, Ĥukat 5659)
