God is concerned to provide for all of His creatures, and a person who trusts in God believes that He also provides for his own sustenance.

This person who trusts in and casts his lot upon God, may He be blessed, must think about the following: God is the one who gives food and sustenance to the bird flying in the sky and the chick developing in an egg. Even though they are in places where food cannot be brought, they nevertheless do not lack their sustenance because of God’s loving-kindness, may He be blessed. All the more so [is this true for] man. God will certainly not withhold sustenance from man, who has an intelligent soul, and because of his intelligence is the recipient of divine providence.
